Acoustic guitar with beautiful sounds, I was afraid to be disappointed but it's quite the opposite, I'm enjoying it. Easy to play, it takes you into enchanting sounds and it's pure pleasure. I really don't regret my purchase, only +++++

Finally here! After 3 weeks of waiting! ...let's move on... I just played it for over 2 hours and was literally blown away by the sounds you can get from this guitar. As a jazz musician, I was looking for an instrument that would allow me to approach Bossa without fearing the feedback problems I encountered with my classical guitar equipped with a Prodipe pickup. The playability is excellent and the string action is quite correct for a classical. I tried several amps and, strangely, the one that convinced me the most (for now) is my AMPEG BA108 bass amp. It is very neutral and lets the guitar's preamp express itself freely. Other tests will certainly come, probably with an AER. I plan to replace the original set of strings, which is not so bad after all, with an Augustine set that I ordered at the same time and which took a little longer to arrive than the rest. You have to make sure to tighten the screws fixing the removable side panel well because they tend to loosen easily under the action of the strap. The finishes are overall of good quality. This guitar is quite recommendable to anyone looking for a sound close to that of a classical with the added possibility to isolate oneself for practice.

Not to be compared with a "real" guitar with a wooden body but certainly the best travel guitar! Compact, almost the same position as a classical guitar and plugged into a good amp, the sound is good even if it is somewhat different from a classical guitar. The only downside is the strings, which pull too hard for my taste.

Overall satisfied. Some minor cosmetic defects. The original strings are rotten, but that's not a big deal. However, the tuners are very loose, and that's much more annoying...

Superb instrument, in my case used at home: for now mostly with headphones with soundtrack passing directly through the guitar to play over it. The sound quality is great, with the different effects... playing is very enjoyable... (possibility to play without plugging it in to work on exercises in "silence" because you can still hear very well what you are playing).

It's fantastic but attention, it doesn't come with the power cable. You have to order it separately.

Having neither the means nor the real need to have an electro-acoustic guitar from a renowned luthier, I wanted to turn to this little gem. I first tried the Yam Silent Guitar a while ago. At the time, it was my teacher who had an SLG110N, and I was frankly blown away by both the physical quality of the instrument and its sound output. Sure, the sound was a bit piezo, nothing like the "real" sound spectrum of an acoustic guitar. Then came this V2, with its SRT system. And honestly, whether on headphones, amp, or recording, you have to really pay attention to tell if the guitar you hear is a silent guitar or a real electro-acoustic. The only aspect that lets the silent guitar down is the warmth of the sound usually offered by the resonance body of an acoustic guitar. But well, by playing with the equalizer knobs, reverb, etc., you can quite easily mask (never completely) this flaw. Finally, in terms of quality, it's a beautiful object, truly light as a feather. We actually enjoy looking at it as much as playing it. Another point I appreciated is the thin, matte varnished neck: the thumb slides on it effortlessly, pure joy. In short, for practicing, traveling, having quality sound at home as well as in concert or studio, given the price, it's worth it. Thank you Yamaha.
